Miu Miu (Prada S.p.A.): neither ‘fast art’ nor ‘fast fashion’… this project is ‘fast translation’!
Through a project of the famous fashion brand, we successfully combined translations for fashion and art, even with urgent deadlines
Our collaboration with Miu Miu began at Art Basel Paris, the prestigious modern and contemporary art fair held from 18 to 20 October. In 2024, the famous fashion house participated in the event with the project ‘Tales & Tellers’ ‘Tales & Tellers’ by Polish artist Goshka Macuga, which explores the concept of femininity in contemporary life, tracing its roots..
SMG Fashion was chosen by the Prada-owned company to translate all the information material from English to French, including descriptions of the artworks, the full event programme, and other content created for commercial purposes, such as advertising banners and signage.

The entire project was managed by our in-house translation team, consisting of experienced native translators with specialised knowledge in the fashion and beauty sectors.
Given the need to ensure maximum terminological consistency across all translated content, we assigned Miu Miu a dedicated Project Manager available 24/7 and a team of translators who worked exclusively on this project. This process, combined with the use of translation memories and CAT Tools, ensured a high degree of flexibility, including last-minute corrections and the delivery of urgent translations in under 24 hours.
The client was duly very happy with the service we provided so successfully, which led to an extension of our collaboration for additional projects in the following months. Today, we continue to translate press releases and mood boards for Miu Miu’s commercial campaigns, including texts containing confidential information that we handle using ISO 27001 compliant procedures.
KIKO Milano: translation to support international expansion
Translation of highly evocative content for the fashion industry, localisation and cultural adaptation
In 2013, SMG Fashion began providing specialised cosmetics translation services to KIKO S.p.A., supporting the significant expansion of the company, owned by the group Percassi S.p.A.
The team at Studio Moretto Group specialised in cosmetics delivered translations of product datasheets and advertising and promotional materials into English, Spanish, French, German, Russian, Portuguese, and Arabic. These translations supported KIKO’s commercial launches and the opening of new KIKO Milano stores worldwide.
