SINCE 2001: OUR COMMITTMENT AND MANY INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS
Studio Moretto Group conducts research in the fields of linguistics, terminology, and the development of innovative work processes for the translation industry. This research is conducted in collaboration with the Centre for Linguistic Research (CLR), a specialised institute under SMG established in 2001., The CLR is dedicated to understanding the requirements of linguistic service users, and of the linguists who fulfil those needs. The ultimate goal is to develop solutions that are beneficial for customers while ensuring sustainability for translators and translation agencies.
Specifically, the specialised linguistic knowledge and innovative work processes that SMG has generated through this research have enabled group companies and their clients to successfully navigate the challenges of internationalisation, even in the challenging context of recent socio-economic crises.
WE HAVE CONDUCTED RESEARCH IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS
- Development of processes to identify and ensure the uniform use of specialised terminology, supported by unbiased, certifiable statistical evidence.
- Optimisation of translation and editing processes, thanks to increasing the efficiency of translator’s work, is today assisted by artificial intelligence and by computational linguistics systems which facilitate, for example, the recovery of parts of the text that have already been translated, and the uniformity of terminology.
- Development of processes for organising, monitoring, evaluating, and accounting for translation work, for the benefit of all translators, agencies and their clients.
- Solutions for advanced communication abroad, including linguistic services for crisis areas, in rare languages, with confidentiality procedures.

The results of the research are presented in sector publications, and at conferences which are organised by companies of Studio Moretto Group.
